Responsibilities:
- directing product development teams
- detailed mechanical engineering and design
- risk management, managing project schedules, managing and growing the engineering team through active career planning, mentoring and skills development.
Requirements:
- Mechanical, Manufacturing or Electrical Engineering Degree
- At least 15 years of engineering product development and project/team management experience, preferably in household electrical appliances
- Ideally possess 8 years of direct Pro Engineer Wildfire 3D CAD software experience
- Strong leadership qualities, collaborative work ethic
- Proven ability to drive innovation in the engineering conceptualization stages by pushing technology limits while balancing feasibility criteria such as maneuverability, cost, technology risk, implementation schedule
- A broad view and understanding of the product development process, and effective experience leading multi-disciplined team efforts in the evolution of products from concept through testing, verification and approval
- Demonstrable background interfacing with and getting the best from supplier factories
- A solid understanding of manufacturing methods and materials, project planning, risk management (i.e. DFMEA) and other design controls
- Manage and build strong internal team through active involvement with mentor ship, project guidance, inspire through example, infuse creative passion
- Strong language skills, highly proficient in verbal and written English, Mandarin
