职位概述

在产品开发阶段紧密配合全球家电设计团队和制造商，确保全面实施工业设计意图；支持辅助家电产品的概念生成与CAD建模；审查样品及跟进所需的改善。

主要任务和职责

1. 在工程与制造阶段与供应商直接合作以翻译传达工业设计意图。

2. 直接联系全球家电设计团队来充分理解设计意图、日程安排和必要的流程以确保设计如实转化成最终产品

3. 向全球家电设计团队发送书面报告，以沟通工程和制造阶段的现状、决策和问题。

4. 协助实践项目在3D制图上的开发，支持全球家电设计团队的工作

5. 协助指定项目的概念生成和问题解决的需求

6. 与全球家电设计团队协力,和当前及新的供应商一起研究和确定表面加工及装饰工艺

教育及经验要求

1. 工业设计学位 (BA or BS)

2. 三年及以上经验

技能要求

1. 优秀的口语及书面英语技巧；

2. 组织和管理多个项目的能力；

3. 三维制图技能。要求能使用 SolidWorks。 掌握Pro/E技能及通过培训能自如切换Solidworks者优先考虑。

4. 对消费品的设计、制造、材料、表面加工和装饰工艺有杰出的理解能力

5. 对构成、美学、色彩和饰面有可靠的敏感度

6. 较强的分析能力 

7. 适应快节奏团队环境的能力

8. 能够出差到供应商位置以配合工程和制造团队

9. 要求对Illustrator, Photoshop, Solidworks和 PowerPoint等软件有较强的应用知识

Job Summary

Work closely with Global Appliance Design teams and manufacturers throughout product development phases to ensure full implementation of industrial design intents.  Support concepts generation and CAD modeling leading to final ID Releases.  Review off tool samples and follow up on all required improvements.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

1. Work directly with Suppliers to translate Industrial Design intent through the Supplier engineering and manufacturing phases.

2. Interface directly with Global Appliance design teams to fully understand design intent, schedules, and processes necessary to ensure designs are faithfully translated to final products.

3. Develop frequent written reports to Global Appliance Design teams to communicate status, decisions, and issues in engineering and manufacturing phases.

4. Assist in the development of 3D CAD on selected projects to support Global Appliance design teams.

5. Assist in concept development and problem solving requirements on identified projects.

6. In conjunction with Global Appliance Design teams, research and identify finishing and decorative processes with current and new supplier channels.

Education and Experience Profile

1. Industrial Design degree (BA or BS)

2. Minimum 3 years experience

Required Skills

1. Excellent oral and written English skills.

2. Ability to organize and manage multiple projects.

3. Exceptional 3D CAD skills.  SolidWorks required.

4. Excellent understanding of design, manufacturing, materials, finishing and decorative processes for consumer products.

5. Proven sensitivity to form, aesthetics, color, and finishes.

6. Strong analytical abilities

7. Ability to work well in a fast paced team setting.

8. Ability to travel to Supplier locations to interface with engineering and manufacturing teams.

9. Strong working knowledge of Illustrator, Photoshop, Solidworks, and PowerPoint required.
