Key Requirements and Responsibilities:

-          Direct functional management of the sites technical staff including Engineers, Draftsman, Industrial Engineering and any other staff as appropriate

-          Support as a priority, the development of the Halifax-fan product Configurator

-          Maintain a paperless and global design manual.

-          Ensure the use of DFMEA, FEA and CFD as appropriate

-          Maintain a sustainable, documented, development program for the design and or improvement of Products and Services. Confer with stake holders and produce detailed specifications and plans

-          Ensure adequate Technical rigor is applied during the design phase of all Orders, Applications, Projects or Programs.

-          Prepare and manage to approved project budgets relating to Engineering Projects (R&D)

-          Lead and support cross functional development Teams in the UK as well as elsewhere when appropriate, including other Halifax-fan operations.

-          Address any technical or specification related field or supplier related issues.

-          Through Leadership and example, ensure an organization wide culture of tactical commitment to achieving the schedule and zero tolerance for Quality defects.

-          Through the principles of 5S and Lean, engage all employees in a process that reviews, measures and minimises the Total order fulfilment Cycle Time, and demonstrates a constant improvement in the operational use of Working Capital.

-          Maintain a no compromise health and safe work environment for all employees.

-          This is a senior role requiring Cross Functional working skills and Leadership

Participate as fully engaged member of the UK Senior Management Team, and the Halifax-fan Board.
