Assistant Electrical Engineer

Location: Futian District, Shenzhen, China

As an electrical developer in the organization, you will work directly with the Sr. Research Manager in China to improve the circuit that controls our solar-powered LED lanterns and solar home systems (SHS).

The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 1 year of experience in development of battery-powered consumer electronic products that include embedded microcontrollers.

Your primary responsibilities will initially include:

1.       Prepare samples before trial run and Product validation testing.

2.       Debugging finished products, troubleshooting and failure analysis.

Later, after a training period, your responsibilities may expand to include:

1.       Electrical component researching and sourcing for passive components (resistors, capacitors, inductors), power management ICs, microcontrollers, signal-processing ICs, and the like.

2.       You will be welcome to modify digital peripheral circuitry to meet your needs, with the goals of improving power efficiency, user experience, and most importantly, reliability.

3.        PCB layout and validation.

4.       Schematic and topology layout and validation.

Requirements:

1.       Proficiency in English and Mandarin Chinese

2.       At least 1 year of experience in electrical engineering of consumer electronics (possibly including LED driving, battery management, DC-DC power conversion and regulation.

3.       Experience interfacing microcontrollers with precision analog electronics, using analog-to-digital converters (ADC), timers / pulse-width modulators (TPM), and the like.

4.       Experience in design for manufacturing (DFM)

5.       Demonstrated excellent teamwork in product development.
