Project Manager

Location: Futian District, Shenzhen, China

Report to: R&D Manager

The Project Manager will manage whole new product development(NPD) project and related resources to ensure the new developed product can be delivered to mass production(MP) on time and smoothly.

This position is the key role in R&D team, working with marketing & sales, operations and quality team. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 8 years of related experience. The key deliveries include:

·     New product development road map fits for marketing & sales demand and agreed with cross functional teams.

·     All data and information for supply chain and sales are documented and mapped.

·     Give continuous technical support to supply chain and sales for the delivered products.

Key responsibilities listed:

·     Set up the product development team for the prioritized NPD projects and deploy the project plan according to marketing & sales business plan

·     Regular review the project progress, including new product idea, user requirement specification, product function specification, product reliability specification, product hardware specification, product software specification, product application specification, product test specification, Gerber, drawings, assembly instructions, DFX, and so on

·     Set up product design review meeting with cross functional teams, including the teams from subcontractors, to ensure R&D team and manufacturing team can meet each other and drive manufacturing team to call for raw materials and new process fixtures and equipments

·     Set up gate / milestone review meeting with top management team to drive the on schedule NPD projects

·     Standardize NPD process, including NPD procedure and product related documents (BOM, Gerber, drawings, specifications, AVL, assembly instructions, DFMEA / DFX guideline, design change notice, etc.)

Requirements:

Required:

·     At least 8 years proven experience in NPD (new product development) project management at senior level, from overall project plan to daily project activities

·     Lead NPD projects with supply chain teams or EMS subcontractors

·     Lead establishing DFMEA or DFX guidelines

·     Succeed NPD projects in consumer electronic industry

·     Succeed NPD projects in solar consumer electronic products

·     Mechanical or electronic development experience in consumer electronic industry

Personality:

·     Required: proactive, communicative and teamwork

·     Preferred: under high work pressure

Language:

·     Required: Fluent in both English and mandarin in writing and speaking.

Education:

·     Required: bachelor degree or above in engineering, mechanical, electronic, electrical or technology.

Others:

·     Required: 30% to 60% working time on business traveling in and around pearl triangle area.
