Job Summary:
Hands on Supplier Quality Engineer with good knowledge of quality tools and assembly techniques and the ability to provide mechanical or electrical support to the supply base. Lead and support supplier performance and development programs, including monitoring and managing supplier quality performance, driving implementation of key continuous improvement initiatives and assuring their closure.

Key Responsibilities:
? Supplier auditing, quality performance rating and improvement, Co-work with supplier on material quality issue, drive supplier’s part capability to meet product requirements;
? Drive appropriate corrective action for material quality issues, including containment, root cause determination, and appropriate closed loop corrective action.
? Develop and maintain robust infrastructure for reporting supplier quality status and communication of critical issues in timely manner to MKS leadership and to the supplier base.
? Continuously monitor supplier material quality and define corrective action whichever necessary; External and internal specification alignment and decision making in technical areas;
? Perform source inspections and first articles
? Support incoming Inspection, Perform FAI, and Update Files
? Assist in developing, implementing, and coaching suppliers in the use of quality improvement tools such as PDCA, QIT’s, six sigma, SPC, process capability studies, DOE’s, etc. Lead by example in these areas.
? Assist with supplier and other root cause & C/A where required.
? Provide technical support to supplier/internal team in troubleshooting, process improvement.
? Work intimately with our suppliers and engineering, materials, and manufacturing groups to structure and maintain product manufacturing BOMs, resolve product and process issues, and implement Poka Yoke features.

Specialized Skills & Knowledge
? BS in a technical discipline. BSME preferred with power supply product experience.
? 4 + year experience in manufacturing and / or quality engineering.
?Strong and thorough knowledge of quality engineering discipline, including:
o Supplier system(ISO9001:2015) and process Auditing
o Quality planning, data collection and charting
o Inspection methods & tools, mechanical and electrical: Metrology, GD&T
o Statistical methods, including sampling plan, SPC, etc.
o Interpretation of technical drawings
o Material Control
o Cost of Quality
? Strong and thorough knowledge of quality improvement tools, including:
o Root Cause Analysis and corrective action
o Standard improvement processes such as QIT’s, PDCA, 8-D methodology.
o Design quality tools, including FMEA, POKA-YOKE, and DFX.
o Statistical decision making methods including gage R&R and DOE
? Experienced in mechanical and electromechanical parts such as hardware, packaging materials, sheet metal, machining parts, cable and magnetic parts(Inductor, transformer), with IPC-620 certification is a plus
? Excellent interpersonal and communication skills able to work with all levels of employees.
? Proficient in use of a personal computer, Microsoft Office Suite, and statistical software. Experience with Outlook helpful.
? Good command of English skill, both speak and Writing.
? Certified Quality Engineer preferred.
