Our client is a US leading company specialized in Optics products.
Responsibilities:
• Application Service
o Conduct demonstrations on specified equipment and provide technical expertise in pre-sales activities
o Provides on-site instrument installation, maintenance and repair of hardware and software, including customer sites, tradeshows, and courses
o Provide training on companies’s imaging products, and on techniques related to customer’s application.
o Work with sales to understand competing solutions in the market, and advantages/disadvantages of each
o Author SOP and generate application specific technical content for use by sales and marketing (Application notes and tech briefs in Chinese version) as requested.
• Sales Support
o Gives market feedback and participates in the development of the next product generation
o Assist sales in understanding the customer’s specific needs and application.
o Give product speech in seminar/academic meeting/tradeshow/customer meeting.
o Prepare comparative analysis document with competitive product and gather product relevant reference articles/thesis/nice result pictures to help product prove.
• Meeting company standards pertaining to quantity and quality of work performed on an ongoing basis, performing all work related tasks in a manner that is in compliance with all Company policies and procedures.
• Adhering to Company policies, procedures, and directives regarding standards of workplace behavior in completing job duties and assignments.
Requirements:
1. 3 - 5 years experience in hands-on experience using, demonstrating, aligning, maintaining and servicing optical imaging equipment and optical systems
2. Master or above in Engineering Technology, EE, Biomedical Science, Physics
3. Combined background in optics and life science preferred.
4. Ability to think and execute tasks independently
5. Is able to listen actively, to communicate clearly, to cope with conflicts and to initiate solutions
6. Is able to initiate communication, to summarize results, to drive processes
7. Lives by the companies philosophy of being the most appreciated problem solver for the customer’s application, i.e. they understand the application, are involved with technical support of the product lines for help, assess the return on invest of customer specific activities, react quickly and keep promises
