As a member of the IT Applications team, you will create and develop solutions to bridge gaps between software and business processes; while ensuring system integrity and process alignment.

Accountabilities

• Discovers, design and implement software solutions for internal customers.

• Manages software solutions from initial design, development and maintenance.

• Work with the internal IT team to meet project goals.

• Internal customer service and support.

• Maintain core software integrity

• Follow GIS guidelines

Responsibilities:

• Create and develop new applications to solve issues and improve efficiency.

• Analyze user and process problems and design programs, applications and reports to solve these problems.

• Research and learn new technologies and apply them to the current business need to reduce labour, improve efficiency and reduce waste.

• Apply system solutions to business problems through the design and programming of automated systems and custom reports.

• Uses detailed specifications from users and Business Analysts to design/program complex solutions.

• Interface with users, on occasion, to understand business and system issues currently being modified to ensure quality of design and end user satisfaction.

• Preliminary testing of programs and any output/updates.

• Review new business processes and programs with users to ensure requirements have been satisfied.

• Stay up to date with toolsets available for programming languages currently being used.

• Be familiar with dataset and structure of system.

• Desired Skills and Experience

Requirements:

• College diploma/University degree in Computer Science or related discipline

• 5+ years of experience in a programming/development role

• Design and development of web based applications using the Microsoft.NET framework and C# (ASP.NET, ASP.NET MC).

• Writing applications with JavaScript and JavaScript frameworks (jQuery/knockout).

• Web Services and REST based services, JSON and AJAX techniques.

• MS SQL Server 2012/2016 databases.

• Create and manage reports using SQL Server Reporting Services

• Data modeling and reports using SQL Server Analysis Services is an asset

• SharePoint development experience is an asset
