Key Responsibilities
1. Working with business line managers, HR recruitment team and search firms whenever necessary to execute hiring requirement for business with all levels. This position usually completes the recruitment for qualified manager and above positions and communicate with recruitment team to have the new or replacement of other professional staff positions fulfilled by recruitment representative in Group HR. Sit in some of the managers’ interview session to then provide necessary coaching to further improve their skills – standard interview skills workshop has been conducted with most managers by group HR. Act as critical member for critical recruitment projects, e.g. Recruitment Open Day,Campus Recruitment and other recruitment events.
2. Ensures compensation packages are competitive to attract and retain staff. Applies the guidelines designed by Group HR for salary grading and reward system, understanding how jobs are valued and using market pricing and planning to manage pay for performance, internal equity and motivating employees. Manages the processes of budget forecast, MI review, Special Salary Review (if any), Housing Assistant Scheme (HAS) and Retention Bonus and other related benefit programs etc.
3. Manages the process of employee counseling, performance management, business integrity issues and the separation of individuals from the company. Works together with business department & Legal department to deal with people issues whenever needed.
4. Provides leadership in driving critical HR programs/project initiated by Group HR team, especially in building up quality resources of the organization and a high performance culture.
5. With the support of Training & Development team, drives training and development activities that ensure the company retain and develop employees to the mutual benefit of the individual and the company. Establishes a learning environment .
6. Monitors the implementation of HR policies and practices in business departments. Tracks key HR metrics. Work with department heads to take improvement actions whenever needed.
7. Works closely with both the group HR team and the functional heads/managers to make sure desired HR support are delivered. Focuses efforts toward the achievement of functional/company goals.
8. Builds business partnership with both HR associates and business departments to allow for knowledge sharing, adoption of best practices and leveraging ideas and resources.
9. In all of the above, works in tandem with Group HR team to ensure overall directions are aligned.
Person Specifications
1. A recognized degree
2. Familiar with manufactory industry and served professional team in previous jobs
3. 5 years relevant HR manager experience with good knowledge of the local HR best practices and labor laws/regulations
4. Very good written and spoken English – a must for this position since lots of the functional heads are foreigners.
5. Good communication, listening and interpersonal skills
6. Able to work effectively.
7. A self-starter with a ‘hands-on’ approach. Eager to drive key initiatives and see them through to successful implementation.
