Job Requirement(素质要求)
Required
·Bachelor’s degree in electrical or electronic engineering.
·At least 3 years’ experience working as design engineer of Switching Power Supply (SPS) design field, component engineer, reliability engineer or as a component OEM field applications engineer
·Understanding / Knowledge of key characteristics of power semiconductors (Power mosfets, IGBTs, Power diodes, SiC)
·Understanding / Knowledge of key characteristics of power electronics ICs (PWM, Drivers, Optos, Opamps, Comparators)
·Understanding / Knowledge of key characteristics of passive components (thin & thick film, wirewound & carbon resistors, polypropylene, polyester, metalized paper film caps, Electrolytic caps, Ceramic caps)
·Business, technical level written English
·Conversational level spoken English
Preferred
·Knowledge of safety agency requirements pertaining to electrical and electro mechanical components. (X, Y caps, fuses, fans, thermal sensors, insulating material)
·Previous experience working as a component engineer preferred.
·Previous experience of reliability testing components is preferred
Major Responsibility(主要工作职责):
·Identify and propose specific manufacturer part numbers in response to requests for component needs from design engineering
·Work with design engineering to ensure at least 2 sources (MPN from different OEM) are qualified for all design critical electrical components on new products in development
·Work with commodity team to identify and qualify replacements for any EOL, shortage, cost down and NRND parts that have demand
·Work with commodity and purchasing to identify and qualify replacements for any shortage parts
·Work with commodity to identify and qualify replacements for any parts that have been identified as not-preferred or that have a high cost
·Work with design, NPI and/or commodity team to cost reduce new designs through component replacement
·Qualify the component by comparison test.
·Prepare qualification report for documentation.
