Project Manager – Key Account Sales Manager/Trade Marketing Specialist, Milk Project
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Head of Marketing, to drive an exciting and leading-edge Milk range launch in the China market in 2019. This role is crucial to the success of the project. Key responsibilities will include setting and executing a Sales Distribution Plan together with a Trade Marketing program. This will involve securing listings with both on and offline key accounts, identifying and working with appropriate distributor and TP partners, overseeing the logistics function, as well as managing in-store activation programs. Other responsibilities to include developing the marketing communications plan in conjunction with the New Zealand project team and agency partner and executing this plan in-market on time and to budget. Specific tasks to include:
* Development of Key Account/Retail Sell-in presentations in conjunction with the NZ project team and secure listings in target distribution channels to meet launch target timings.
* Negotiate terms and manage the ongoing relationship with key retail and distribution partners (both offline and online retailers; vertical platforms; new retail; CVS)
* Develop and manage the price promotion plans for all channels and communicate with sales team.
* Provide monthly accurate forecasts on time.
* Support the supply chain, identifying issues and recommending solutions in a timely manner. Manage stock rotation, ensuring minimal dated stock issues.
* Report on launch performance on a regular basis. Monitor and report on the success of marketing activities.
* Identify and secure gift pack producers and packers. Manage the gift pack process from forecast to delivery of finished product.
* Support the NZ Project team with all requests, liaising with the appropriate member of the China team.
* Develop and execute Trade Marketing initiatives, ensuring that all activities align with the overall Marketing Communications Strategy, and adhere to the campaign creative guidelines.
* Develop the Marketing Communication Strategy in conjunction with the NZ Project Team, managing the localization of assets and executing the plan across agreed channels. Manage tactical brand activities, such as sampling campaigns, with preferred partner agencies. Activities to be aligned with strategy, master band guidelines, category proposition, budget and timeline.
Requirements:
* Minimum 7 years corporate experience with a mix of Key Account Sales and Trade Marketing roles in Mainland China.
* At least 3-5 years FMCG experience. Milk and/or beverage experience preferred.
* Experience working in an International business with global brand portfolio preferred.
* To work assertively, flexibly and collaboratively with individuals and teams located externally and internationally.
* Strong digital retailing and marketing experience and knowledge
* Fluent verbal and written communicator in both Chinese and English.
* University degree is must, and major in sales/marketing is preferred
* Good communication, negotiation and presentation skills
* Open-minded, innovative thinker, and be organized
* This job involves business travel and to start as soon as possible
