Job Responsiblities
Set up assembly, alignment and final test equipment for functional PCBA tests and laser systems
Perform troubleshooting of complex electro-optical systems
Design preventive maintenance and internal calibration techniques to minimize variations between test stations
Perform Failure Analysis on production lasers systems
Analyze failures/defects for Continuous Improvement Projects
Initiate and Implement ECOs per appropriate disposition
Train laser technicians to repair laser systems
Maintain and calibrate test equipment
Knowledge:
Knowledge and experience with Labview programming for test fixture support and development
Knowledge and experience with operation of test equipment, oscilloscopes, DVM's, function generators
Knowledge and experience with AutoCAD, Altium schematic capture and PCB design packages
Knowledge and experience with cable assembly design, documentation & fabrication.
Knowledge and experience with lasers and optics, machine/model shop skills
Knowledge and experience with chillers, temperature & process controllers
Knowledge and experience of statistical process control techniques including conducting Gage R&R studies and implementation of SPC controls
Requirements:
BSEE or Physics with 3 years applicable experience
Ability to troubleshoot and repair complex electro-mechanical assemblies and power supplies, SMT
Ability to work with engineers, technicians, and production personnel in a challenging technical environment
Good working knowledge of Amplifier laser systems;
Excellent communication skills and Team working sprits. Fluent English language written and oral communications skills;
Strong Leadership skills;
Be proficient in utilization of AutoCAD or Solidworks;
Intermediate MS Office Skills.
Working understanding of laser test equipment: power meters, photo detectors, oscilloscopes, and beam profilers.
