BASIC PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

1. Take the lead of PCBA Engineering team and related testing

2. Take the lead and manage the internal NPI project leader of PCBA

3. Ensure all key parameters are affirmed and embedded in process control

4. Manage all the facilities related to SMT, ICT, FCT, maintain and improve the overall performance

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

1. New project quotation.

2. Assign NPI Leader for a new project.

3. Approve process flow and line configuration for the new product and ensure that it meets the required capacity.

4. Ensure Process Management Plan meets Customer’s total requirements on quality, workmanship, yield, line output, line balance, handling and packing method, etc.

5. Ensure all key parameters are identified and embedded in Process Management Plan to control product quality, process yield and DPPM requirements.

6. Provide full engineering support to Program for smooth functioning and responsible for overall NPI commitment on number of days for successful culmination of NPI activities.

7. Guide and direct the NPI team on all the engineering issues.

8. Proactively plan, organize and implement technology roadmaps for advance manufacturing in line with upcoming Customer’s requirements and / or market trends.

9. Identify, plan and organize to disseminate knowledge through training to Shop floor Engineers and Supervisors on newly acquired AME capabilities.

10. Identify key performance parameters and prepare performance evaluation plan of various process inspection & measurement equipments, if required. 

11. Provide technical support & guidance to Engineering personnel.

12. Continual strive on process readiness to meet customer requirement.

13. Optimize Engineering resources to meet customers’ expectation on process capability & throughput efficiency.

14. Plan relevant training to Engineering personnel and improve all member technical level.

15. Provide leadership in process excellence to exceed customer expectation

16. Supervise the SMT, Testing equipment management team.

17. New SMT equipment setup and commissioning.

18. Request, verification and repair equipment and spare parts.

19. Improve and maintain machine efficiency, components attrition &downtime.

20. Member Analysis monthly spare parts consumption and reduce cost.

21. Ensure PM is carried out accordingly.

22. Evaluate and improve machine performance.

23. To order and keep sufficient spare parts for machines and equipment.

24. To co-ordinate with other departments on the technical support.

25. To co-ordinate with vendors to carry out technical matters.

26. Complete the appointed job given by boss by the right time with good quality.

27. Automotive:

28. Responsible for managing and overseeing the cost effective solutions to meet customers’ specifications for both NPI and existing PCBA products, and support for any engineering escalation related to PCBA.

29. Responsible for creating and maintaining the DFM Guidelines.

30. Responsible for the Statistical Analysis for Equipment Validation Plan (MCA, PCA, MSA) for the projects.

Experience or skills required

1. 8 years+ experiences in Automotive PCBA and assembly process.

2. Fully understand the Automotive Standards as they relate to PCBA and integration. Deep knowledge and hands on experiences of PCBA process.

3. Project management skill.

4. CAM tool hands on experiences.

5. Confident and proficient in communicating technically in English in both oral and written.

6. Proactive approach in handling the work.

7. Deep hands on experiences of APQP and PPAP process.

8. Strong management skill, leadership with engineering team and cross functional team. Proactive leadership style capable to train and develop team members.

9. Bachelor degree in automation or EE, start with PCBA process engineer in the past career is a must.

10. Experience working with key foreign Automotive customers.

11. Have the required qualifications in a tier 1 automotive OEM supplier or contract manufacturing environment are preferred.
