Hardware Architect
Job Location: Shenzhen, China Travel: 15% of time
Job Expectation and Scope
The Hardware Architect reports to Director of Engineering, mainly focus on Hardware Platform Innovation.
In this role, the Hardware Architect will work closely with multiple teams and groups including Product Development, Project Management, Sourcing, Product Marketing and Quality Assurance, etc.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead technical roadmap development for company products;
2. Work closely with Product marketing to delivery the fast prototype to valid the meaningful innovation in field.
3. Modularize existing products electronics design;
4. Conduct design review for electronics engineering part;
5. Collaborate with cross functional teams to develop and qualify products to meet specification, reliability and regulatory;
Successful Candidate Profile
1. Bachelor’s degree or above in Electronics Engineering or relevant major;
2. 10+ years leading hardware system development experiences, inverter and solar related product design experience is highly required.
3. Solid knowledge of IOT architectures, know how to code MCU and how cloud system works.
4. Highly developed hardware design skills;
5. 5 years managing experiences with direct subordinates, able to hire, coach and develop AD (advance develop) teams;
6. Fluent in English communication, a creative and curiosity way of working leading to continuous improvements, open minded and willing to accept new challenges.

4. Have experience with high power 220V power systems, which we see it as a plus comparing with candidate just have work with low power DC systems.
5. Have strong experience in working with technical partners – ie. You would know when is best to designing the hardware on your own or with our in-house team, you would also know best when to contract projects to outside engineers and teams to upgrade or customize designs (especially when we work with ODM partners and appliance makers).
