Process Engineer Leader

Description:
Developing new processes  leading to new products.  

Complete projects across a variety of KFTS platforms and Developing products while working with cross-functional teams to successfully, transition new and upgraded processes and products to manufacturing.

Responsibilities(岗位职责):
1. Continuous process improvement New process development leading to new products
2. Increased yield
3. Increased throughput
4. Quality improvement
5. Advancing the state of automation in KFTS (i.e. Automation Ratio)
6. Ergonomics, safety, and environmental impact.
7. Designing and refining manufacturing processes for new and existing products.
Utilization of engineering and project management skills to drive complex projects to completion.
8. Partner with equipment design engineers to develop and install new equipment.
9. Creation, execution, and analysis of experiments using statistical methods.
10. Champion process and equipment validation teams.
11. Matching product fitness-for-use (FFU) requirements to process measurements and set points.
12. Training and coaching other technical associates.
13. Transitioning new or upgraded processes to engineers within the local platform for ongoing manufacturing support.
14. Documenting your work with reports, technical notebooks, and quality system documents.

Requirements（任职要求）:
1. B ,S. in engineering. Preferred degrees include Material Science, Chemical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
2. Minimum 3 years of experience in process or new product development OR an advanced technical degree is required.
Demonstrated ability to:
3. Coach, mentor, and develop technical/engineering teams.
4. Champion complex technical projects, beginning with project scope definition, to timely and effective completion.
5 .Develop processes and ability to improve existing manufacturing processes.
Validate and commercialize new processes and products.
6. Network and influence in cross-functional teams.
7. Effectively manage and prioritize projects across multiple platforms.
Broad understanding of different industries, processes, and manufacturing equipment.
8. Awareness of external technology development.
9. Proven problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
10. A continuous improvement mindset for optimizing production processes. -
Experience applying statistical tools such as designed experiments in manufacturing processes.
11. Ability to transfer knowledge to other engineers through good documentation practices and training skills.
12. Understanding of designed experiments, statistical analysis, project management, and project leadership (for small, cross-functional teams).
13. Willingness to travel periodically
14. Hard disk drive industry experience preferable.Contract manufacturing experience preferable.
