In 2008, Holcim (the worlds largest cement company by market capitalization) was given the opportunity to raise its participation significantly through means of a private placement, making Holcim the largest shareholder in Huaxin Cement. Due to business expansion, we are seeking for a competent treasury and overseas investment director to join the organization.
Job Description

Reporting to the CFO and as the Treasury Head for a multi-billion USD business with fast expansion, the person is accountable for all the activities related to cash management, risk control of overseas investment projects and funding from different sources such as bank loans, bonds or PE/VC investors. The primary tasks of this position include:
Planning, leading and monitoring of short term and long term funds management of the company, with a view to optimize the cost of capital and ensure the availability of funding required to expand the business
Meeting the liquidity requirement of the Group while complying with overall company’s policies on funding strategies and risk management.
Building and managing relationships with lenders, rating agencies and other finance entities to protect the company as a borrower of credit standing and effective treasury.
Management of treasury risk controls and reporting.
Develop, oversees and responsible for the maintenance of Financial Policy for overseas subsidiaries of the company, including effective tax planning and financing for value-creation.
The Successful Applicant
Qualified applicant is required to have minimum 15 years of working experience ideally in a large (multi-site, multi-product stream), complex business at a senior executive functional level of all main functions of finance (reporting, controlling including Capex management, financing, treasury, tax, investor relations, business planning & risk management). It is critical that this person has strong track record of fund raising experience from different resources especially from the PE/VC/Financial Institution and the experience of setting up cash pooling at a group level is highly preferred. He/she also needs to have strong communication and interpersonal skills and able to interact with executive levels in order to drive for results. A good cultural fit will be someone who is open minded, strategic thinking, adaptable, proactive and positive. He/she doesn’t necessarily need to come across aggressive, but can drive results by influencing and convincing from different perspectives. Previous experience of people management and strong leadership skills is a must
