About Our Client
The company is an innovative plastics converter with 41 factories in 20 countries. From packaging for food to cosmetics, chemicals to pharmaceuticals, as well as components for light and heavy vehicles and electronics, This is a newly built factory in Hefei Anhui Province for their key customer.
Job Description

Plan and manage the organisation’s operational activities to achieve agreed targets and standards for operations, and financial performance;
Maintain and develop organisational culture, values and reputation in its markets and with all staff, customers, suppliers, partners and regulatory / official bodies;
Report on activity and performance in agreement with group procedures;
Execute the responsibilities according to lawful and ethical standards (core values of the group);
Cooperate with transversal functions: finances, business development, operations and sales;
To achieve and maintain Class A business practices across the entire operation;
Full accountability for all regulatory, quality and compliance standards, policies and procedures;
The Successful Applicant

Minimum 10 years leadership experience within the manufacturing sector and will have enjoyed career success through engineering / plant management / supply chain management functions;
Fluent in written and Oral English;
Will have worked in a leadership or operational role within the FMCG sector;
The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and proven success in leading business transformation within a production environment;
Will have proven experience of achieving quantified success through the implementation of change management / quality improvement initiatives; Furthermore will have experience of implementing structure and clarity to the operation;
Will have run a manufacturing unit of some complexity and have prior experience of raising operating standards to a level of Class A excellence. Furthermore experience of Kaizen, Kanban, Six Sigma would be attractive;
Will be a seasoned, pragmatic business leader with experience of full Profit and Loss accountability; Ideally will have had experience reporting through to an international parent;
Will be a very strong and charismatic and socially confident leader who leads by example and believes in empowering individuals;
Will have a down to earth, practical and common sense approach to management, with the ability to identify and tackle problems promptly, efficiently and effectively;
Demonstrable ‘can do’ attitude, with a ‘roll up the sleeves’ approach who displays openness and honesty whilst also remaining passionate, driven and healthily competitive.
