Our client is one of the world's top multimedia shopping retailer originated from the U.S. With 26 years' history, they now have strong presence with its broadcast programming in the U.S., U.K., Germany, Japan, Italy and a joint venture in China. The company's main business lines include retail broadcasting programs, online shopping and mobile applications. The company has unique business features combining high-end products, celebrity TV personalities and customer testimonial marketing. The company started a JV with a major Chinese broadcasting channel since 2012 and we are looking for a highly hands on senior accountant to join their JV in Beijing to handle the overall financial tasks and report to the senior Finance leadership in China and the U.S. headquarter.
Job Description

This is a very unique role with the official title as Deputy CFO, however the incumbent is required to be extremely hands on with daily financial task. Directly reporting to the China CFO and the CFO of our Chinese partner, the incumbent will be responsible for all financial activities including but not limited to setting up budget, making financial forecasts and planning, issuing Financial Reports according to the US GAAP and PRC GAAP and performing various financial analysis. The incumbent will be also frequently communicating and reporting to the senior Finance leadership in the U.S. headquarter therefore strong English communication skill both spoken and written is a must. The incumbent will be working with the accounting team of Chinese partner on daily basis hence we are looking for a native Mandarin speaker. There will be no direct reports for this role initially however the company will potentially place subordinates for the incumbent if he/she has proved strong work ethic, technical skills and management abilities.
The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate for this role will have strong English communication skills, and be familiar with both PRC GAAP and US GAAP. Big 4 plus large MNC or JV inhouse senior level position is highly desired. The candidate needs to be comfortable and confident with communicating with senior leadership on the group level. Most important of all, the incumbent has to have strong work ethic and be willing to be hands on with financial tasks.
