About Our Client
Our client is a listed European manufacturer in the electronics industry with a growing presence in Asia. Due to expanding business, there is now an opportunity to join their regional office in Singapore as their Asia Pacific VP of Sales and focus on their growth in the Asia Region. They have doubled their presence and revenue in Asia on the last 5 years and have developed across most markets in Asia.
Job Description

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will be instrumental in the strategic direction as well as the day to day leadership of the region, drawing on your experience and in-depth understanding of differences in country dynamics and local/market intelligence across the Asia Pacific.
You will drive effective operations across the APAC region and manage all the local operation in each country. You will be responsible for all sales and the sales force, tasked with hiring, training and the development of an effective support team. Experience with P&L, managing key accounts, distributors, supply chain, customer service, sales & marketing would be ideal. An extensive sales network in the Asia Pacific Electrical market to leverage and develop partnerships and initiate sales will be highly advantageous.
Mid-term objectives for the company are to penetrate several currently untapped markets and countries within the region; therefore this is a rare and exceptionally exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to heavily advance their career.
The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate is preferably MBA/Electric Engineering qualified with at least 15 years of experience in head of sales/general management role. He should have experience in managing various functions i.e. Sales, Marketing, Finance & Accounting, HR, Customer Service etc. on a regional level including China.
The successful candidate demonstrates a proven sales track record in High Value Electrical Components and a track record of hiring, retaining and grooming strong business leaders.
He should possess a good balance of strategic vision and a hands-on operating style, ability to develop a capable regional team, possess strong commercial acumen, managerial and communication skills, and ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Excellent command of Mandarin and English are mandatory since you have to manage directly China.
