Our client offers a comprehensive range of valves and services for the whole water cycle. It has 10 brands with more than 20,000 products from water recuperation to communal water distribution, from water transport to sewage treatment, who has the most varied range in the market. You can find the right solution for every application from hydrants to gigantic butterfly valves based on customers’ requirements.
Our client is looking for a Supplier Quality Manager to be based in Shanghai office to lead up the supplier quality team in China and coordinate with the global teams in different countries in Europe.

The Project Procurement Manager will be reporting to the Head of Procurement in Europe and functionally reporting to the GM in Shanghai.
Actively cooperate with Commodity Manager Teams and accomplish all requests related to vendor management and supplier relationship improvement.
Manage the business relationship with Key Contract manufacturers/ suppliers including participation in price negotiations, supply capacities, cost savings and system improvements.
Provide direction and support to secure both the capacity and the capabilities of suppliers needed to support the growth of company business.
Provide price update analysis of all approved Chinese vendors for price update and possibly SWAP.
Help to negotiate and leverage prices and contracts, keep archive on signed agreements and price lists with Chinese vendors.
Monitor and compare raw material price trend ¤cy trend relevant to each supplier.
Help to find new potential and competitive vendors and search for best quotations.
Early identification of any issues that may prevent the achievement of company goals and KPI’s.
Continuously work to increase the payment terms of all Chinese vendors.
Active involvement and support in new product development projects and activities on China site.
Actively cooperate with Quality to ensure the best quality input of supplied products.
Develop various analysis, reports and price comparisons on company procurement team request.
Coordination of expediting activities of suppliers and supply chain management.
Keep company management informed in the case of changes in suppliers industries that could affect short-term business performance and long-term business strategy.

Education: University degree in an engineering field
Languages: Mandarin (Native), English (Fluent), Strong written and oral communication skills in both languages
Professional Experience: Minimum 6 years experience in purchasing or procurement working with contract manufacturers,suppliers or distributors, Experience in Quality Management Systems and Quality System Audits
Interpersonal and Leadership Experience: Used to interact with /within western companies. Strong personality with strong communication skills. Ability to work in multi-cultural environment.
