As part of this investment, they are now looking at add capability to their senior management team by appointing a new role: Industrial Director.
Job Description

Reporting to the CEO for China you will be responsible for delivering a programme of operational improvement throughout their five processing plants; producing juice, oilseed and sugar products. You will bridge the gap between the China leadership team, local plant management and the global industrial leadership headquartered in Geveva. This person will be responsible for working with all stakeholders to identify opportunities for achieving operational efficiencies, implementing lean methodologies, driving cost savings, whilst also mitigating operational and commercial risk. You will provide direction on the implementation of standard processes and systems and up-skill local management teams and get them to adopt relevant tools and methodologies as necessary.
You will be the face of industrial operations in China and be part of the international industrial operations leadership team. The ability to manage international stakeholders and relationships is essential.
The Successful Applicant

The successful applicant with be a seasoned Processing or Production professional with broad experience of delivering lean improvements to complex, multisite, multi product business operations; this individual should ideally speak fluent Chinese but will at least possess significant exposure to working and delivering change in China.
You will be comfortable managing senior stakeholders, often with conflicting interests. As well as operating at the strategic level, you will be comfortable being hands-on with the local Plant leadership teams, helping to identify and implement operational improvement. Ultimately you will be responsible for making the right strategic decisions and delivering change successfully.
The successful candidate will almost certainly be from a similar industry – ideally agricultural commodities or foods with processing experience; however candidates from broader manufacturing industries may be considered if they have a proven track record of transitioning successfully between different industries and product types.
