Job Description
Reporting to the Asian Director, you will oversee new supplier sourcing and development, as well as existing supplier maintenance, including social, ethical, and technical compliance.
The majority of your responsibilities will involve managing the full spectrum of sourcing activities, setting up and lead the whole sourcing team.
You will also be responsible ensuring and improving the performance, productivity, and “health” of all suppliers in China, keeping the company as an industry leader.
Fill holes in our supplier matrix with factories developed and ready to hand over to the production team. Meanwhile maintain productive and positive relationships with factories and colleagues.
The Successful Applicant
10 year in general and/or sourcing or production management of teams in China, furniture experience required
Excellent and fluent communication skills, both written and oral, in English and Mandarin Chinese
Excellent ability to get things done through leadership and entrepreneurship
Excellent at maintaining a level head under pressure and in challenging situations
Able to regularly travel to suppliers throughout China
