Job Description

The Product Engineering Manager will be responsible for collaborating on the design of a solution, the development of specifications and quality measures, the identification of component and machine suppliers who can produce to specifications, the monitoring of manufacturing, product quality and delivery of components and machines to meet the business plan. Some of the key area of responsibilities:
· Market specific knowledge on the design and manufacture of consumer sewing machines gained in the industry
· Software and electronic component knowledge in consumer electronics with vision, applications development and component communication systems
· Supplier contracting and management experience in consumer electronics focused on sourcing and manufacturing in Asia.
· Manufacturing and Quality experience in consumer electronics including costing, manufacturing quality and reliability.
The Successful Applicant

· Have 7+ years of engineering experience in a machine design organization
· Experience working in a sewing machine manufacturing company is a plus
· Knowledge of supplier management to meet cost, quality and delivery requirements
· Multi-cultural communication and business skills to effectively negotiate and drive supplier arrangements
· Manufacturing and supply chain experience to ensure quality and delivery to specifications
