Job Description

You will be responsible for the planning, leading, organization and control of all functional leadership groups within Material department. This position assumes authority and responsibility in the Materials Lab at the Asian Technical Center. Your major responsibilities will include but not limit to following:
- Be responsible for people development and evaluations of attainment of departmental goals.
- Provide strategic planning for the department including capital, personnel and expense budgets as well as a 5-year plan.
- Establish and monitor department performance of lower level managers in the department in regard to metrics, goals, and objectives.
- Is able to drive the team to find and identify new materials to develop new products.
- Compounding and reinforcement in tire industry.
The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate needs to meet following requirements:
- Minimum of 15 years of tire related industry experience. Is recognized as a technical leader within the organization with a proven track record in management. Overseas / expatriate experience is a plus
- Capable of mentoring employees at all levels of the organization in their functional area. Has track record of managing multiple departments.
- Six Sigma trained: Green belt or improvement project.
- Functional knowledge of tire engineering or manufacturing processes is preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant management experience in rubber, tire engineering or industry experience in related fields
- University Degree and post graduate qualification in Material, Chemical and High Polymer. Master or PHD is a plus.
