With a long standing history of success and as part of the efforts to further strengthen their market position, the company is seeking an experienced Product Innovation professional to join the senior management team in Hong Kong.
Job Description
Reporting to the Head of Research & Development, this is a newly created position. You will lead and supervise the Product Innovation team to develop winning new products, improving existing products and optimizing present formulations through the implementation of modern technology, scientific discipline and technical expertise/knowledge exchange. Key responsibilities will include generating new product concept/develop prototypes (bench top to scale up), liaising with marketing team to plan project timeline and stage-gate charter for upcoming product launches, reviewing formulations to ensure legal compliance with relevant food regulations and policies in target countries, keeping abreast of industry literatures/scientific publications as well as applying relevant new ingredients and modern technologies in development and trouble shooting projects for optimum outcome.
The Successful Applicant
Suitable candidate will be University graduate or above majoring in Food Science, Food technology, Chemistry or related subjects. Master degree or above is highly preferred. You will have minimum 10 years experiences in similar capacity with at least 5 years gained from multinational food & beverages companies. A wide exposure to different technical subjects and international working environments and knowledge in food ingredient application and processing equipment are essential. The role is based in Hong Kong but will require extensive travel to manufacturing plants in the region. A self starter, good team player, creative, flexible, versatile and ability to adapt to a constant changing macro and micro environment are critical success factors. Complete fluency in Chinese and English is essential with Cantonese is a plus.
