Job Description
Reporting into the Head of China the Deputy General Manager will provide leadership support and assist the Head of China in the development and implementation of the country strategy in order to achieve its primary objectives based on profit, productivity, growth, new business development and expansion of existing business. You will contribute to the long term growth of the China business by setting a strategy and driving a business which aligns with the company vision. You will play a huge role in the leadership of the business across all the different functions making a continuous effort to raise productivity and streamline operations. You will be a very hands on leader but also have the ability to set a vision and work towards the end strategy.
The Successful Applicant
You will be Degree educated with a minimum of 3 years experience in a management role in the third party logistics sector. You will have strong knowledge of the shipping and logistics industry and have advanced your career through sales & marketing roles and looking for your next challenge in General Management. You will have strong managerial and leadership skills partnered with excellent commercial and entrepreneurial flair with a track record in developing new business and growing existing customers. As the regional Head Office for Asia Pacific is based in Singapore the opportunity could be an attractive proposition for a Singaporean currently based in China or looking to relocate to the China region.
