We offer our customers a full range of services including textile selection / engineering, garment design, sourcing, manufacturing, quality and social compliance.
Job Description
Support all Home Office directives for fabric development and / or selection of necessary fabrics
Ensuring all fabric testing is executed in a timely manner and that all testing methods and requirements are being met for all developments and bulk fabric orders
Fabric Order Follow-up / Coordination: Daily follow up and communication on fabric orders with mills, and internal parties, keeping Fabric Development and Bulk Fabric Time and Action Calendars updated (Home Office, Vietnam office and QC) to ensure customer satisfaction and on-time delivery.
Over all Color Management- including Tracking and documenting sample and bulk color submission: arrange sample submissions to Home Office for approval. Evaluate colors visually and with the aid of the spectrophotometer.
Ensure all fabric development and bulk orders are tested in a timely manner, and meet OSA’s or the customers AATCC requirements.
Work closely with fabric QC to make sure fabric quality is monitored and well-controlled before shipment or cutting.
Review fabric test reports to ensure fabric internal properties meet customer requirements.
The Successful Applicant
Bachelor Degree in textile or related majors.
At least 5 years’ experience in fabric merchandising, with strong knowledge of fabrics, both knits and woven. Working experience with US importers and retailers is preferred.
Excellent knowledge on color and strong in color evaluation. This is a MUST.
Proven background working with knit and Woven Testing Methods and Standards
Strong communication and problem solving and organizing skills.
Team player and problem solver, detailed work approach.
Strong command of English, both spoken and written- This is a MUST
Good level of computer literacy – Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, Excel
Strong ability to work within Excel Spreadsheets, Databases, and Time Action Calendars
