Position Summary

Battery Cell Quality Manager

Key Responsibilities:

Failure analysis leader for the issue to the cell during cell qualification and pack qualification and solution provide by working with suppliers and internal battery pack team

Work with cross function team to identify the root cause failure related to battery cell and drive the correction/improvement action implementation.

Participate the any VE/NPD project related to battery cell to follow /monitor battery cell quality performance to in accordance with project requirements.

Coordinate supplier and internal cross function team for the battery cell quality requirements.

Perform regular supplier audit to ensure compliance with regulatory standards, as well as actively participating in strategic development based on quality control plans

Perform internal audit to internal assemble process to ensure battery cell assemble process satisfy battery cell use requirements

Suggest structural quality and process improvements to battery cell.

Conduct capability assessment to current and potential new battery cell suppliers.

Track and qualify/disqualify suppliers according to the performance and strategy decision

Maintain successful relationships with Supplier, Engineering, Manufacturing and Regulatory departments.

Person Specifications: 

At least 5 years relevant experience in lithium battery industries

Familiar with lithium battery manufacturing process and related testing process, especially in cylindrical cell(18650/21700)

Working knowledge of 8D, FMEA, PPAP, ISO9001, TS16949, Failure Analysis, and Control Plans

Master above degree with engineering background, chemical, Quality Control, Electrical-chemical are preferred.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment

Supplier quality assurance would be an advantage.
