JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Responsible for manual appliances, other DKB products’ quality process monitoring and control of the quality dept. including process audit for skip/reduce inspection program.
2. Documentation and implementation of SOPs to ensure all work are carries out as per written procedures or work instructions. Including transit test report and recommendation, Supporting in execution of ECN.
3. Taking up of product (safety) testing by in-house and local test labs. Primary to FDA + California Prop. 65. Upon demand to EU food contact, Germany LFGB, Japan Sanitation testing. Upon demand manage and follow up client test program
4. Manage re-white seal sample approval in FE office.
5. Manage and/or conduct factory auditing.
· Focus on DKB’s preferred partner for ethical and quality system audit.
· Manage and/or conduct process audit for skip/reduce inspection program.
· Upon demand manage specific clients ethical and/or quality system audit program to ensure it complies.
· Management of factories BSCI and/or Sedex ethical audit validity.
6. Pre-shipment inspection.
· Ensure finish products have been sufficiently inspected and passed prior to shipment.
· Manage any pre-shipment inspection results which requesting corrective action whenever necessary and to follow up with the factory on the implementation of effective control practices.
· Selection of qualified factories to join skip/reduce inspection program.
· Provide advice on quality issue to factories towards improving the mass production quality level.
· Manage pre-client final inspection to ensure goods to be supplied meets the client’s requirements.
7. Vendor Performance.
· Ensure vendor performance reports are issued to the related parties in a timely manner.
· Review vendor performance report and conduct specific vendor performance meeting whenever necessary.
8. Supporting all market feedback and product failure analysis. Drive to resolve product, quality and safety issues including but not limited to:-
· Transit / carton drop test
· Product quality, safety, and reliability testing
· Country of Origin and Hygiene (Phytosanitary) issue
· Food testing
· Root cause analysis on defectives
· Problem solving
· Recommendation on quality and functional improvement
BACKGROUND, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
1. Higher Diploma or above in Quality Management, Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering or related disciplines.
2. With 10 years of working experience in Quality System Management. Strong knowledge in Product Testing.
3. A solid understanding and experience of ‘design for manufacture’, using plastics, wood, steel and similar substrates. Ideally with a technical understanding of injection moulding & metal fabrication techniques.
4. Experience required in working directly with Far East manufacturers. Understanding of cultural and working methodology ideals across Far East and Western business. Experience of working in a culture geared towards teamwork combined with the ability to work in an environment where a hands-on approach to the business is a pre-requisite
5. Experience in co-working with design and development with a practical sense to problem solving and a mechanical engineering bias.
· Ideally from an in-house manufacturing environment with exposure to supplier liaison and manufacturing systems
· Ideally mostly gained in housewares or related industries
6. Good presentation and interpersonal skills. A self-starter, initiative taker, detail-orientated individual, able to lead the cross functional team internally as well as to interact with our customers Quality teams towards dynamic and systematic QMS achievements.
7. With working experience of CAD drawing software would be an advantage.
8. Excellent Verbal and Written communication skills in English.
