Senior Firmware Engineer
Location: Futian District, Shenzhen, China

The Senior Firmware Engineer will manage the development of high-volume consumer electronic products’ electronics, including embedded firmware.

The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 4 years of experience leading development of battery-powered consumer electronic products that include substantial embedded firmware.

Although the role will focus on firmware development, it requires a fundamental understanding of electronics design, including analog signals and power electronics.


Requirements:

1. At least four years of experience in digital, analog, and mixed-signal electronics and firmware design

Embedded microcontroller (MCU) firmware development in C language, including
      i. Experience integrating special-purpose C libraries from third-party vendors
Mixed-signal analog circuit design experience using microcontrollers
Power electronics circuit design experience, including
     i. Power management via MCU
     ii. DC-DC converters, including buck and boost converters
Circuit and firmware design for automated testing (DFT)
PCB layout management experience, including design for manufacturing (DFM)


2. Degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or other closely-related field.

3. Comfort taking the lead in electrical hardware design and integration with little supervision, working in a self-directed, start-up environment.

4. Fluency in oral and written English

Highly Preferred:

1. Experience working with specific electronic components / topologies
Buck and boost DC-DC converters, including converters driven by MCU
Solar photovoltaic modules (solar panels)
Battery management, including lithium ion batteries
LED drive
UART, I2C
